A silicon button on the base of Aduki enables you to turn the light on/off, or to freeze on any color that you like. The light is named after a bean used in ceremonial dishes in Japan and China. The Aduki also has a tiny face on the underside adding to its unique appearance. The polished zinc alloy base gives the Aduki weight and solidity, and a sense of quality. Free your TV from Tyranny. With the bevy of hi-res TV content available on the internet these days it’s almost time to give your cable TV provider the boot and go internet-only for all your media needs. The Neuros “Link” Open Source Media PC is here to help with your upcoming cable-free transition. Unlike the gaggle of other media playing boxes out there, the Neuros Link is completely open source and not locked into only one provider. Running Ubuntu Linux, the Link connects to your HDTV via HDMI and is ready to stream 1080p video at your command.

One way is to use the built-in Neuros TV software which allows you to type in the show you are looking to watch, then it instantly finds various places you can stream it from. The Link works great with shows from Hulu, NBC and most other streaming video sources. Of course you could also use the preloaded Bit Torrent client to ferret out your own videos if you roll like that. You could plug in an external hard drive loaded with ripped DVD VOB files, AVI movies etc. and play those directly… you’ve got options. Since Link is loaded with MPlayer, VLC, Xine it will play almost any video format you can throw at it.

Teach Me Time! Clock
There are these creatures in some of our houses. They eat all our food; they destroy all our stuff. And sometimes they creep into our beds at night ruining our sleep. Alas, they are our children, so we can’t just call the exterminators. What we can do is teach them to tell time. Then they’ll at least know when they should stay in bed and when they can get up and join the rest of the world. The Teach Me Time! clock will do that, with a few tricks up its clocky sleeve.

It has a 5-stage, talking “game” to help your littles learn what the clock means. But also, there is a secret control panel where you can set the revolutionary “Ok to Wake” alarm. This will cause the clock to glow yellow during the night and turn green when the kids are allowed to get out of bed – making make sure you have enough alone time (or couple time) in your own bed. And when the kids get older, the clock is fully functional as a “grown up” alarm clock, complete with snooze.
